First Cake Smash Session of 2022!

It's going to be a busy week of cake smash sessions.  I have three this week!  They are always so much fun.  I love creating the perfect set to fit each little one, and it's always interesting to see how the birthday child will react to their smash session.  Some kids dive head first into it (literally), and some want absolutely nothing to do with the cake.  Either way, we will get some good shots, and that's all that matters.  

Today's smash session was for a little guy whose family I have worked with a few times now, for some big events.  I did his mom's maternity session, and newborn session for his older brother, as well as his brother's cake smash, a Christmas mini session, and his newborn session.  It's always so nice to work with repeat clients, and a lot of fun to really get to know these families.  

Here are a few shots from the smash part of his shoot.  For cake smash sessions, the smash is just part of the shoot.  There are 3 different setups that we do, with the cake smash being the last one, and now I offer a splash session after, for sessions booked in 2022.  It's nice to have a variety of shots of the birthday child, which can be displayed throughout the year, aside from just the cake part.
