Cowboy/First Rodeo Cake Smash Session

I absolutely love themed cake smash sessions.  As much as the simple ones are adorable, it's so much fun to create a themed setup.  For my most recent cake smash session, the birthday boy's mom requested a "cowboy/ rodeo" theme.  How fun is that?  I had some fun plans for this one.  They involved buying a few new props, and borrowing a few things from friends, to make it just right.  The borrowed items included a saddle, wagon wheel and some cowboy boots.  Mom took one look at the setup and nearly cried.  That is precisely the reaction I love!  I am always nervous that my clients won't love the setup as much as I do, or that maybe they had a different vision.  It's such a relief when I see and hear how much they love it.  

The setup isn't the only thing that makes the perfect smash session though!  This birthday boy rocked it.  He had lots of smiles, and dug into that cake.  Following the cake, we did his splash session, which most little ones love even more than the smash.  He was no exception.  There we lots of splashes, laughs and clapping.
