I typically like to shoot newborn sessions within the first 10 day or so of birth. Babies are more easily posed, sleepier and it tends to make it easier all around. Thursday, however, I had the opportunity to do a sibling session with an adorable 3 year old and her baby brother who is 1 month old. It was another great opportunity to use my new studio, and I ended up with some really adorable bright and airy photos, as well as some warmer toned images. It was a nice variety. I'm excited to be able to give my clients more variety in their sessions. With the addition of a bed in the studio, there's the opportunity for some beautiful snuggle sessions, in addition to the traditional backdrop and beanbag poses. The bed is also great for boudoir sessions.
This little guy was very bright-eyed during his shoot, but was so relaxed, and let me pose him and get some baby snuggles in as well. He gave me some cute smirks and did some "talking", which was so adorable! It's never too early to book your newborn portrait session.
Here are a few shots from this session....
